Room Booking

You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation.

To reserve your room please follow the instructions on the website, mobile site, phone or email (as applicable).

You will be requested to make a mode of payment to secure your reservation.

Please check that the details of your reservation are complete and accurate before you confirm your reservation. We will not be liable for any delay or non-performance if you provide us with incorrect information.

We will confirm our acceptance of your reservation by sending you an email to the email address that you provide during the reservation process. The contract between us for the provision of your room and any additional services added to your reservation will be formed when you receive this email confirmation from us.

If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss. For more information on cancellation, please see section Cancellation, below.

Room Prices

Keja Apartments BnB adopts dynamic pricing, the price of our apartments fluctuates based on the season and demand.

When you make a reservation request, we will give you a total price for the rooms and number of nights you have requested. The price you pay is the price quoted to you at the time you make your reservation.

Room prices are per apartment, per night and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation.

Meals, retail products and other extras are not included in the room price, but you may be able to add them to your reservation during the booking process or they may be available to you during your stay.

Occupancy

The maximum room occupancy is one adult for one bedroom apartment, or two adults for two bedroom apartment. You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you. We reserve the right to conduct checks on occupancy.

A one bedroom apartment is a standard sized apartment booked and occupied by one person only. If any person looking to book this option for more than one person, kindly choose the two bedroom apartment option.

A two bedroom apartment is a standard sized apartment booked and occupied by a maximum of two adults and one child. For bookings above this capacity a confirmation of booking is only valid upon confirmation from the booking office.

Occupancy is not transferable.

Children under 18 are not permitted to stay at Keja Apartments BnB unless a parent or guardian is also staying in the apartment. We reserve the right to request valid photographic proof of identity and age, so please bring this with you otherwise where requested you will not be permitted to stay.

Arrival and Departure

Rooms are available from 11:00am on the arrival date. Please let Keja Apartments BnB know if you are likely to arrive after 10:00pm.

Guests will be asked to provide proof of identity and nationality upon check-in. Overseas guests, excluding Commonwealth citizens, will be asked to complete a registration form in addition to providing their identity card / passport details. Acceptable forms of identification are: a passport, driving licence or ID card.

Rooms must be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time without the express confirmation of Keja Apartments BnB may result in a late check-out charge.

Payments

If you have not paid for your booking and any extras added to your booking in full at the time you make your reservation, you will need to pay on arrival.

Once a booking is made and subsequently confirmed by the reservations team, terms of payment will be sent within the receipt. Payments can be made via M-Pesa or cash. Payments can be made in advance via M-Pesa.

Amendments

You can amend a booking outside of the cancellation period up until 12:00pm local time on the day of arrival provided that the amended booking is on a like for like basis (same rate type, same apartment, same number of rooms and type of rooms, and the same stay duration).

Cancellation

If you cancel a reservation after 3:00pm local time time on the day of arrival (including any “no show”), you will be charged a cancellation charge equivalent to one night’s total accommodation per apartment booked and for any meals and other extras booked for the first night of your stay. A cancellation reference will be given and should be retained as proof of cancellation. Such cancellation charge is to compensate the apartment for the late cancellation and is not for any service.

If you decide to shorten your stay you must inform reception at the Keja Apartments BnB that you are staying in by 12:00 noon on the day you wish to check out. Failure to communicate this variation as stipulated will incur a cancellation charge equivalent to one night’s total accommodation per apartment booked and for any meals and other extras booked for the following day. Such cancellation charge is to compensate the hotel for the late cancellation and is not for any service.

The first night of any booking made after 3:00pm time on the day of arrival and the cost of any meals and other extras booked for the following day is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation (including any “no show”).

We may cancel your reservation at any time with immediate effect by giving you written notice (which includes email) if:

• you do not pay us when you are required to do so; or
• you break the contract between us in any way.

If we cancel your reservation where you are at fault, we reserve our legal rights in respect of your breach of contract. Where your stay had/has not yet commenced, the total payment made or to be made by you for such room shall be deemed a cancellation charge and is not for any service.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions, their subject matter and formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with Kenyan law.

If you are making a reservation, you and we agree that the courts of Kenya will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from or related to your reservation and/or stay at Keja Apartments BnB.

If any part of these terms and conditions is deemed invalid, illegal or for any reason unenforceable then that part will be deemed deleted and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining parts. Any failure by us to enforce our rights or remedies under these terms and conditions or otherwise shall not be construed as a waiver by us of those or any other rights or remedies.
